Busch Gardens Pass Members GetFirst Look at New Attractions
Construction began on the Mach Tower in February. It will open later this spring. Busch Gardens Williamsburg pass members will get a sneak peek at the Mach Tower construction today during Pass Member Preview Day. Pass members will also be the first to experience the park’s newly revamped Oktoberfest village, where the Mach Tower will open later this spring. The German-inspired village will now feature a pretzel shop and beer garden, along with a maypole and a new blue-and-white color scheme inspired by the Bavarian flag. The Mach Tower, set to open late this spring, will be a 246-foot-tall drop ride. Riders will rise 6 feet per second, rotating to get a glimpse of the Peninsula, before plunging 60 miles per hour to the bottom. It will be Busch Gardens’ first tower ride. A special picnic lunch will be offeredto pass members in the Black Forest picnic village, and new merchandise will be marked down 30 percent until March 27.
