 (Media-Newswire.com) - Bad news for George Mason University and their quest for the 2011 NCAA tournament championships as the bracket scores update shows Ohio State crushing the Patriots 98-66.  George Mason University has made it to the third round with hopes of knocking off the number one seed.

David Lighty put in seven three pointers for his Ohio State Buckeyes and totaled 25 points which put the team into the Sweet 16 round this week.  Ohio State dominated the first half outscoring the Patriots of George Mason University 52-26. GMU did put up a challenge in the second half but could not make up the difference from the first half drubbing.

GMU came out stong in the first minutes of the game but were hugely outscored by the Buckeyes.  Ohio State now will face kentucky in the Sweet 16 round to be held this Friday from New Jersey.

Ohio State improves their record to an impressive 34-2.
